Ahh yes the age old question. what should I wear?! So here is the rundown, I have put together a few guidelines on what you could wear for your session so you can be comfortable but also look FIRE.

Quick disclaimer: I am no fashion mogul - these guidelines are based on my past experiences and what I have found works best in what environment.

These are only guidelines - NOT RULES. Y’all can show up in pajamas for all I care! At the end of the day I want you to be yourselves, don’t think if you don’t follow these guidelines that your photos are going to suck. The most important thing to me is that you feel comfortable and look yourselves. If your other half doesn’t want to wear a buttoned up collared shirt - let them where the plain brown tee. I can guarantee they will enjoy the shoot more if they are wearing something comfortable.

Let's dive in............

Colours

For colours we typically recommend sticking to earthy, neutral tones. This doesn't just mean creams and blacks, their are neutral tones of every colour such as maroons, burnt oranges, mustard yellows, forest greens, navy. Think about where we are doing your shoot and what makes sense. Try to avoid fluorescent colours (unless we are doing a crazy rad shoot at timezone) pinks usually work if you have olive toned skin but can sometimes wash your skin out in photos. Like I said above the most important thing is that you feel comfortable! You might have a bright pink shirt that you wore on your first date! Bring it with you! Options are everything.

Patterns

Try to avoid big, loud, chunky, crazy patterns. The smaller the pattern the better as we don't want your outfit too distract from your faces! Logos are no no’s! They are also something we suggest to steer away from - you aren’t there to represent a company, this is about you and your soulmate!

Sometimes patterns do work and look fantastic like Jess & Kenny here, it all depends on the environment we are shooting in and what your partner is wearing! If you are worried just send me a message, i'm here to help!

Props

Not what you think!! When we say props it can be anything, a pizza party (you can't go past Romanos in Ellenbrook), your dog, blankets, a guitar, bouquets, a motorbike. You get the picture! If you want to involve some props in your shoot we more than encourage it and can work in interpreting the props in a non-cheesy kinda way. Ps. bringing your dog is ALWAYS a good idea.

Movement

Make sure that the clothes you wear will keep you comfortable during the shoot not only for temperatures but also for being able to move around in. If you're in brand new jeans that are still stiff and tight, you will find it hard to do movement shots. I recommend bringing clothes that are "broken in" so that you'll be as comfortable as possible. Also a bonus if you are wearing clothes that catch movement and move in the wind. These can look EPIC.

Well thats all babes!

Remember if you have any questions at all or want to send me your outfit options i'm only a message away!
