Alex and I sat patiently waiting for our coffees at the cutesy little Shaana Cafe in Yallingup talking about Brooke and Kahn’s big day and how it was going to be as we listened to the crackles of thunder and wiped the rain off our faces. I absolutely love rainy wedding days, crazy right? A photographer that loves rain.... you see, rain brings a certain comfort and while most people are panicking their wedding will be ruined by rain, I dream of those big thick clouds, cool ceremonies and muddy dresses. During their prep we had little bits of rain but Brooke hadn't give up hope and was still planning to have her outside ceremony - and I am so glad she did.

Brooke and Kahn met 8 years ago, through mutual friends. They were bike riding at 2am and shared their first kiss at a bmx track. Fast forward a few years and they are on a date at the speedway enjoying some delicious chicken treat, warm donuts and getting to know each other on a deeper level. All these moments leading to one beautiful loved up wedding day.

The rain cleared just in time for their ceremony and the sun gleamed through the clouds throughout the whole day. One of my favourite parts about Eight Willows Retreat is that everything can be done on site, all of your guests can stay in the beautiful accomodation they offer, you can have your ceremony, photos and reception all within walking distance! And if you want too sneek offsite for some cheeky beach shots you can do that too!! Here are some of our faves from their Eight Willows Wedding ❤️
